Storyline Bundle : Spring Edition

Intentionality in sourcing coffee is of utmost importance at Non-Fiction. We get down to the finite details to ensure all parties are valued and dignified through the coffee supply chain before we take on the responsibility and honor of introducing a coffee into our lineup. Behind the scenes, we're moved by the stories and people these coffees represent.
Whether through our personal relationship with the Torre family in Peru or through the intimate relationship our friends at Shared Source and Sundog Trading have with Colombia and Rwanda, respectively, we're beyond confident that these coffees stand tall with integrity. As is custom at Non-Fiction, we never want you to have to choose between a great story and a great product -- we love these coffees and we know you will, too!

Although we weren't able to import the Torre family coffee this past year, we still remember the rich and complex chocolate-heavy profile of their coffee from years past. This year, though, is the first harvest we've had of theirs that was dried in the covered, raised beds that Gregorio built by hand. We're so honored to have been able to invest in Gregorio and Isabel's livelihood through funding the materials for the drying house. While Gregorio's coffee was wonderful before, the quality of his coffee has truly been taken to a whole new level. While there is still a rich, balanced profile to this coffee, we're tasting more and more sweetness in the cup.

We couldn't be more proud to introduce our first ever Rwandan coffee offering from 13 smallholder producers near Janja Hill. Sundog plans to fully support this project for years to come, and we're excited to do our part to see these producers and their community grow for the long haul.

This lot, which has been affectionately called "La Banda Rebelde" or "The Rebel Gang", is made up of coffees from Didier Javier, his brother Christian Pajoy, and his father Elias Pajoy. These men are referred to as The Rebel Gang by Shared Source due to their prioritization of organic growing practices as opposed to the synthetic chemical - intensive practices encouraged by their local FNC. Shared Source had the pleasure of cupping his coffee a few years back, and were able to offer him the highest price he'd ever received for his coffee -- they've been buying his coffee every year since.
Please Note: All coffee bean orders are roasted fresh and may take 24-48 hours before shipping.
